Vutec Introduces ArtScreen M-Series at EHX 2007
Offers a New Angle on Hiding a Flat Panel Display
| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Pompano Beach, FL (March 8, 2007) -Vutec Corporation has introduced ArtScreen M-Series, a motorized flat screen masking system that transforms a Plasma or LCD Television into a work of art. The M-Series utilizes a remote controlled robotic arm for adjusting the viewing angle of flat panel displays thus eliminating undesirable glare and reflection. Tilt up/down and swivel range provides maximum mounting location flexibility while maintaining optimum viewing angle. Vutec will be showcasing ArtScreen M-Series at EHX, booth 1226 in the Orange County Convention Center, March 8th thru 10th. The ArtScreen system, which has received numerous awards including 2006 product of the year from Electronic House magazine and –the Multi-Room Audio Video Awards – by the Consumer Electronics Association, incorporates a hardwood frame and retractable screen with a giclee print. The result is an automated retractable work of art that provides a creative yet technologically advanced masking system for Plasma and LCD televisions and video projection screens. When the artwork is retracted, the screen is visible for high-definition viewing within the frame. When the television is not in use, a reproduction of art or photography is displayed within the framing. Custom artwork, such as family photography or corporate logos, can also be reproduced. Available frame styles, liners, and images for reproduction can be viewed at www.vutec.com/artscreen/ “The impressive performance and multiple viewing angle technology inspired us to create this motorized viewing solution for ArtScreen,” stated Kevin R. Baisley, Vutec’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing. “The ArtScreen M-Series preserves the integrity of both room décor and the viewing experience, and is designed to accommodate a variety of interior design needs, in surface mount and recessed versions.” “With total ownership of LCD and Plasma televisions in the US expected to top 10 million units this year,” commented Mr. Baisley, “many owners want to integrate their video displays into their home’s interior design, especially since the average plasma set now measures 42 inches or more. More and more consumers are finding they want to accommodate both the latest video and audio technologies with their living space. ArtScreen and its sister products, SoundScape 360, CineScape and now ArtScreen M-Series provide solutions by turning a video display into a work of art with the touch of a remote.” At the touch of a button M-Series smoothly extends the flat screen display 12 inches from the wall allowing the viewer to adjust the swivel left/right range of motion from 20 degrees to 28 degrees in either direction and tilt range up to 25 degrees down and 7 degrees up until the optimum glare-free viewing angle is obtained and stored. Two programmable memory locations are provided to recall viewing preferences for day and night or user one and two. Suitable for flat panel displays between 40- and 65-inch sizes. A universal IR remote control is provided to control M-Series as well as other AV components and is compatible with RS-232-based control systems from AMX, Crestron and other control systems.
