Jeanne NashWomen with attitude…confident & confidantes. Men with attitude…playful companions, serious lovers & caring gentlemen. Much of the artwork expresses the special bond & support innate in woman’s friendships…sharing secrets, advice & just listening. They share their emotions with each other, their children, their pets & their men. The artwork also explores what we do with free abandon, as in the music & dance series. The joy of life themes, are painted on canvas in textured acrylics. Jeanne has been designing, drawing & painting all her life…winning her first award at age 10. As a military officer’s daughter & later as an officer’s wife, she was exposed to a great variety of experiences…living in Puerto Rico at 3, English girl’s school at 10 and riding on the Orient Express at 13. Hat & glove luncheons and formal parties were as much the norm as golf and camping. Constantly being on the move created the opportunity for new friends, influences & challenges. This led to the independent thinking & imagination that shows in the unique creativity of her work. She has studied at Randolf-Macon Woman’s College. University of Oklahoma (Bachelor’s Degree), Northern Virginia Community College, Honolulu Academy of the Arts and Atlanta College of Art. “When I paint there is no time or space, only a feeling of pure joy. I thoroughly enjoy creating my art and hope it brings as much pleasure to you.” |
