FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[Pompano Beach, FL – January 7, 2008] — Keeping pace with the continued surge of popularity in home entertainment, and the increasing demand for home theaters, Vutec Corporation (www.vutec.com), the global leader in video projection screen technology, will showcase its Theater Art Systems (TAS) at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, from January 7-10. Vutec’s exhibit will be located in South Hall 1, Booth # 20662.
“We’re riding on the crest of a growing wave in upscale consumer demand for innovation in home theaters,” said Howard Sinkoff, president of Vutec. “Theater Art Systems transforms any room into a Home Theater, combining framed high quality art with an automatic vertical masking system and SilverStar™, our patented leading-edge high definition-high gain front projection screen. SilverStar™ delivers the ultimate in picture quality featuring maximum detail, vivid color, and higher contrast ratio,” said Sinkoff.
“SilverStar™ is truly the high definition screen projecting a luminosity six times brighter than the average screen in the marketplace. This derives from its innovative, patented technology - a silver base material combined with multiple optical layers to provide a gain of 6.0. This increases color saturation while increasing contrast in either controlled or uncontrolled light,” he said.
Vutec’s president said that in the last several years a dedicated media room has virtually become a standard feature in homes and high-rises throughout the country. “The beauty of Theater Art Systems, said Sinkoff, “is that it is perfect for adaptation into any room in the house – family room, living room, bedroom or den.” He added that home theaters aren’t centered around the simple act of viewing a movie. “People use them as venues for charitable events, business meetings and even as family rooms.”
The artistic feature of Theater Art Systems speaks to increasing consumer demand for versatility and beautification. TAS transforms a standard video projection screen into one of a large selection of Giclee fine art prints – or photographs - inside a beautiful hardwood frame. The artwork ascends or descends with the touch of a remote.
When the artwork is retracted and motorized up, it reveals a 2.35:1 CinemaScope movie screen. That screen in turn masks a 16:9 HD format, with vertical masks that motor up on either side.
A vast array of frame styles, liners, and artwork choices for reproduction can be viewed at www.vutec.com. In addition, custom artwork and personalized photographs can be reproduced to create an individualized or more glamorous work of art to compliment any interior design or décor.
