Pompano Beach, FL (June 21, 2006) - The Vutec Corporation has extended its warranty coverage on the Vision X line of front and rear video projection screens and masking systems from one to two years, effective this month.

“All 28 Vision X products are now covered for defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years,” stated Kevin R. Baisley, Vutec’s vice president of sales and marketing.

“Vutec’s commitment to its premier product line,” said Baisley, “is reflected in the qualities that distinguish Vision X as a brand: achieving a total solution from the end-user’s perspective by employing superior screen technology for both viewing pleasure and functional design. This covers the elimination of shadows from masking systems, the use of stronger housing and acoustically dampened motors, the framing of screens with black velvet to absorb over-scan from projectors, and the design of high definition screens for ambient light conditions.”

“Another aspect of the Vision X brand is ease of integration within larger AV systems,” added Baisley. “Inter-operability is engineered into all Vision X products through an intelligent motor control system,” he noted. “This all-inclusive framework is key to the emerging vision of AV technology throughout the industry, which aspires to seamlessly integrated systems easily managed by end-users.”

The Vision X portfolio includes patented products such as the X2™, a dual retractable screen system, the XR™ rising arm screen, and the fixed wall SilverStar™, well suited for commercial applications, especially in ambient lighting environments. It offers a wide viewing angle, a gain of 6.0, and a high contrast ratio.

Other Vision X products provide multi-aspect ratio viewing in a single projection screen using vertical and horizontal masking panels, in tab-tensioned and self-supported fabrics; art screen masking systems to cover video and/or audio display panels from 32 inches and up; and high-gain rear projection screens and accessories.
