[Pompano Beach, FL – May 7, 2008] – ArtScreen™ was a key featured product in the Electronic House 2008 Home of the Year Awards – having been included as a Gold Winner in the “Master Suites” category, and a Bronze Winner in the “Wow Factor” Category.

Another Gold Winner, in the “Outdoor Spaces” category, featured a custom designed 133-inch weather-resistant Outdoor Screen; and a 133-inch Vision XWF screen with PearlBrite was included as a Silver Winner in the “Home Theaters $10-25K”category.

Gold Winner with ArtScreen™

NETTEAM AVI of Bedford Heights, Ohio (www.neteamavi.com) with the installation in the Master Suites category that became the Gold Winner, used a Vutec ArtScreen™ housing a 50 inch Panasonic Plasma TV in the Master Bedroom, and a 42 inch Plasma in the Sitting Room.

According to Electronic House, the installer said: “The art screen really gives the space a ‘wow factor,’ and the homeowner certainly enjoys the fact that the TVs are all out of the way or behind mirrors.”

Bronze Winner with ArtScreen™

Cytexone of New York City (www.cytexone.com) with the installation of an elegant 252-square-foot office space within a condominium setting, and a Bronze Winner in the “Wow Factor” category, included an ArtScreen™ housing a 48 inch Hitachi Plasma TV.

According to the Electronic House story, “…the homeowner can gaze at the seascape depicted on the Vutec motorized canvas [ArtScreen]. At the touch of the Control4 panel on the wall or the wireless 10.5-inch touchpanel on his desk, he can change the mood as the artwork rolls up inside a frame to reveal a Hitachi plasma TV.”

Gold Winner with Customized Outdoor Screen

Gary and Sandy Patterson of Sanja Resort Living of Greensburg, Kentucky designed and built an outdoor movie and recreation area, and became a Gold Winner in the “Outdoor Spaces” category. Vutec’s Spencer Mallinson worked with the Pattersons to design a weatherproofed 133-inch Outdoor Screen, with stainless steel hardware in a fully enclosed aluminum housing.

Silver Winner with Vision XWF screen with PearlBrite

The Audio Video Pros of Onalaska, Wisconsin (www.theaudiovideopros.com) became the Silver Winner in the Home Theaters $10-25K category, which featured a Vision XWF 133-inch screen with PearlBrite. The screen is recessed in the front wall for aesthetic purposes, and the PearlBrite fabric has a high gain to handle the ambient light. Epson Powerlite Pro Cinema 1080p LCD is the projector used.
