[Pompano Beach, FL – July 3, 2008] – Vutec Corporation, the technology leader in video projection screens, announced today the release of its innovative solution for the Ultra-Thin 1.5, the 1 9/16” deep LCD displays currently being made available by Hitachi and others. This ArtScreen, the first of its kind in the industry, conforms to the currently offered 32” and 37” diagonal flat panel TV’s. This new model Artscreen is a forerunner to adapt to additional Ultra-Thin LCD screen sizes for all brands.

“Vutec saw the need to create a shallower ArtScreen casing to accommodate the new Ultra-Thin Hitachi model,” said Howard Sinkoff, Vutec’s president. “The custom made ArtScreen accepts the Ultra-Thin, with only a 4” deep casing as compared to the 6” and 7” deep ArtScreen casings currently used. When recessed into a wall, they are flush with any standard 4” deep interior wall.

The New Slimline ArtScreen is designed for both recessed and surface mounts. Customers must supply TV wall mount for the surface mount Slimline ArtScreen.

Mechanicals such as the woodframe, roller, artwork, motor and attached hardware are the same as prior models.

ArtScreen transforms an LCD, Plasma TV or video projection screen into a work of art. Inside a beautiful hardwood frame, the artwork ascends or descends with the touch of a remote. When the screen or television is not in use, the digital art-on-canvas image of one’s choosing is displayed within the frame; and when the artwork is retracted, the video display is visible for viewing.
